FxLayer: the forex layer for your ERP.

Foreign-trade compliance software for Indian importers and exporters. Match every payment to its Bill of Entry or Shipping Bill, draft bank letters and forms from the record, and keep deadlines, FX rates and audit history in one workspace.

Free workspace to start. Paid plans from ₹1,999 per module per month (excl. GST)

The problem

The goods, the money and the paperwork live in different places

In many trading companies the compliance work runs on spreadsheets and email. That is where things slip.

Bank lists that do not match your records

IDPMS and EDPMS outstanding lists differ from what your team has booked.

The same letter, typed again

Bank request letters are re-typed for every remittance.

Missed realisation deadlines

Export realisation deadlines are tracked per Shipping Bill, and a missed one is costly.

Unclear Form 145 and 146 choices

It is hard to know which part of Form 145 applies, and when Form 146 is needed.

Bank FX margins nobody checks

Quotes from AD banks are rarely compared with the mid-market rate.

Scattered records

Documents sit in inboxes and folders, with no audit trail.

What FxLayer does

One workspace for the whole foreign-trade cycle

Matching and closure

Scored matching of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills to remittances, with split payments and set-off, and IDPMS and EDPMS reconciliation.

Bank letters and signatures

A short questionnaire drafts the request letter, Form A1 or A2, closure, extension and EDF on your letterhead. Sign with a DSC or e-signature on the Growth plan.

Services receipts and payments

Treaty article, TDS and the Form 145 part are worked out before a payment abroad. Receipts are declared on the EDF. A CA can file Form 145 and 146 from the worksheet.

Merchanting trade

Keep the import and export legs of a trade in one record, with outlay days and a profit test.

FX rates and spreads

Compare AD bank quotes with the mid-market rate, record the rate on the remittance and estimate yearly bank margin cost with the spread calculator.

Deadline tracking

Countdowns on every Shipping Bill, with a reminder thirty days ahead.

Export incentives

Record RoDTEP and Duty Drawback against each Shipping Bill.

Audit log and exports

One record per transaction with attachments. Every change is logged, and closed records show an eight-year retention date. Export any register to Excel.

FxLayer also publishes a free purpose code directory, with codes such as S0102 for Bill of Entry payments and P0102 for Shipping Bill realisation.

How it fits

Sits between your systems and keeps them in sync

Your ERP

Sends invoices and payments. ERP connectors are an Enterprise feature, and Excel and CSV import works on every plan.

ICEGATE

Upload or email your customs documents to your workspace.

AD banks

Rates, payment requests and outstanding lists, through API connections where available (Enterprise), or MT940 and IEDPMS files by email.

Your CA

Files Form 145 and 146 from the worksheet your workspace prepares.

Partners and auditors

Read-only access to just the pages you allow.

Workbench add-on

Forward the email. Approve the action.

Workbench gives your workspace its own email address. Forward trade mail to it and it reads the message and attachments, extracts the key fields, matches them to your records and stages suggested actions. Nothing is saved to your register until you review it.

Reads emails and invoices

Turns a proforma with advance terms, or a supplier invoice, into a staged draft record.

Reads SWIFT and statements

Reads MT103 copies and MT940 statements, assigns purpose codes and suggests matching open documents.

Handles bank requests

Finds the reference your bank cites and offers the right document to attach, then drafts a reply with the status and files.

Catches changed bank details

Flags bank details in an email that differ from your master record, and keeps the existing ones until you confirm.

Each transaction a request involves uses one task. Every paid plan includes free tasks each month. Emails and attachments are processed by an AI provider's servers outside India, so using Workbench means accepting that processing.

Frequently asked questions

What is FxLayer?

FxLayer is foreign-trade compliance software for Indian importers and exporters. It keeps the goods, the money and the compliance paperwork together: each payment is matched to its Bill of Entry or Shipping Bill, bank letters and forms are drafted from the record, and deadlines and FX rates are tracked in one place. Trianzor Private Limited builds and runs it.

Who is FxLayer for?

Indian trading companies that import, export, do merchanting trade or pay for services abroad, and the chartered accountants, FEMA advisors and customs brokers who work with them. Freelancers who receive foreign income have their own plan.

Does FxLayer file with the RBI or my bank?

No. FxLayer prepares the paperwork, such as letters, declarations and worksheets. Your authorised dealer (AD) bank makes the filings and closures.

Does it connect to my ERP?

ERP, ICEGATE and API connectors are Enterprise features. FxLayer lists Tally, Zoho, SAP and others as ERP connectors, and ICICI, HDFC and Axis for bank API connections. Without connectors you can import and export Excel and CSV, and upload MT940 statements. Nothing is written back to your ERP.

Where is my data kept?

In India. The service is hosted in Google Cloud's Mumbai region, connections use TLS and data is encrypted at rest. If you use the optional Workbench, emails and attachments are processed by an AI provider's servers outside India, while your workspace database stays in India.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. A free workspace needs no card. It includes 10 transaction lifecycles and keeps records for 60 days, and moving to a paid billing account keeps your data.

Can my CA or auditor work in my workspace?

Yes. You can invite partners and they reach only the pages you allow. Four roles (owner, compliance, operator and viewer) control what each member can see and change.

Is there a way to use FxLayer content in AI tools?

FxLayer runs a public, read-only MCP server at fxlayerhq.com/mcp with guides, RBI purpose codes, deadline calculators and regulatory updates. It needs no account and does not read your workspace data. Details are on the FxLayer developers page.
